Armored vehicle modification company Inkas (Canada) has just announced a security upgrade package for the Rolls-Royce Cullinan super-luxury SUV model, targeting customers who need high levels of protection but still ensure secrecy.
According to the manufacturer, the upgraded Cullinan model can withstand 7.62 mm bullets and impacts from two grenade explosions occurring at the same time. The noteworthy point is that the entire reinforcement process is carried out without almost changing the exterior appearance of the vehicle, making it difficult to recognize the vehicle as a armored vehicle.
To achieve this level of protection, Inkas has reinforced the entire body structure, including doors, floor and ceiling, and installed standard military bulletproof glass. The rear luggage compartment is separated by an armored wall to enhance the safety of the passenger compartment.
The car is also equipped with shockproof tires and reinforced fuel tanks to limit risks in emergency situations.
In addition to the standard package, customers can add many other security equipment such as engine compartment steel coating, rooftop emergency exits, 360-degree camera system, night vision camera, independent air filtration system, alarm clang and internal communication system. Details such as front, rear and wheels can also be upgraded to be better load-bearing and impact-resistant.
Despite being enhanced with protection, the interior of the Cullinan still retains the luxurious style characteristic of Rolls-Royce with high-quality materials. The cabin uses high-quality leather, combined with striking tones, meeting the personalization requirements of the upper class.
Regarding operation, Inkas does not interfere with the original powertrain. The car still uses a twin-turbo V12 engine with a capacity of 6.75 liters, producing 563 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque. The manufacturer has not announced the weight increase after armor, but admits that this may have a certain impact on operating performance.
The fact that tuning companies like Inkas are developing armored versions for super-luxury SUV lines shows the increasing demand for vehicles combining personal safety and luxury, especially among business and celebrity customers.
