The new Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS appears in blue, different from the first one ever recorded in Vietnam with a red exterior. Previously, a red car was spotted during the license plate registration process, while a second one was officially circulating on the streets, showing that the number of this model in Vietnam has now increased to at least two.
The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS is considered a notable street racing model, and is also the most expensive and most efficient version ever distributed by Porsche in the 718 product line. Compared to standard Cayman variants, the GT4 RS has a more air-conditioned tunnel look with an aerodynamic package designed to optimize the track.
The exterior of the car stands out with a sporty body kit, many details use carbon fiber to reduce weight. Behind is a fixed large spoiler - typical of RS models, helping to increase downforce on the road surface when operating at high speeds.
In terms of overall design, the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS is equipped with front bumpers, roofs, a new sports tricycle set and rear spoiler, giving a clear difference in image compared to the Cayman GT4 version. However, the biggest highlight of this model is the powertrain.
The GT4 RS uses a 4.0-liter, naturally aspirated, 6-cylinder boxer engine, similar to the engine on the Porsche 911 GT3 generation 992. This engine has a maximum capacity of 493 horsepower, maximum torque of 449 Nm and is capable of reaching 9,000 rpm. Compared to the Cayman GT4, the RS version is 79 horsepower and 29 Nm of torque.
The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS is only equipped with a 7-speed PDK dual clutch transmission, with a shorter refined transmission ratio. Thanks to that, the car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, before reaching a maximum speed of 315 km/h.
