According to data from a report from the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), the car market in Vietnam continues to prosper with a total of 28,920 cars delivered to customers. Sales recorded a growth of 9% compared to June and 17% compared to the same period last year.
However, besides the strong growth car lines, there are still many products with modest sales.
In July, Honda Accord was the slowest selling car model in the Vietnamese market with only 6 cars. Honda Accord's sales still haven't had much of a breakthrough despite a cash promotion program of up to 220 million VND.
Notably, in the list of the top 10 slowest selling cars in the Vietnamese market in July 2024, there is the appearance of all Suzuki car products. Suzuki Swift's sales in July 2024 decreased slightly with a decrease of 11% compared to June (9 cars) when only 8 cars were sold, ranking 2nd in the top slowest selling cars in July.
Meanwhile, in terms of sales, the Suzuki Ertiga only had 19 cars delivered in July. This is also the first time the Ertiga has appeared in the group of slow-selling cars.
This result also caused Ertiga's July sales to decrease by 67.8% compared to the previous month. Suzuki's remaining products, XL7 (20 vehicles) and Jimny (46 vehicles), also share 6th and 10th positions on this list.
