On July 25, news from the Office of the Hue City People's Committee, has just issued a plan to convert passenger transport vehicles to electric cars, green energy to develop sustainable transportation.
Accordingly, from 2025, all newly invested or replacement buses in the city are required to use 100% electric cars, applicable to both existing and new routes.
In the period of 2025 - 2030, the city sets a target of 60% of commercial taxis switching to using electric cars. For newly invested or replacement passenger cars, the conversion rate is expected to reach 30%.
To ensure the conversion roadmap, Hue City will focus on investing in charging station infrastructure systems. It is expected that by the end of 2025, the basic charging station network will meet the needs of passenger transport vehicles.
By 2030, the charging station system will be expanded, covering the entire city. Each commune and ward will have at least one charging station to serve both personal and organized vehicles, contributing to the development of a smart, green and environmentally friendly urban area.
