Affected models include CR-Vs manufactured between September 2023 and September 2024, Civics manufactured between November 2021 and November 2023, and Civic Type-Rs manufactured between January 2023 and July 2024. The recall campaign will begin in December 2024.
This error may cause unusual noise or vibration when steering, however, to date there have been no reported cases of safety issues.
However, Honda Vietnam recommends that all owners of recalled vehicles should bring their vehicles to Honda dealers to have the steering rack parts inspected and replaced.
The total number of recalled vehicles is 11,005, including 7,104 CR-V vehicles, 3,870 Civic vehicles and 31 Civic Type-R vehicles. Honda Vietnam will notify each customer of the recall campaign in detail via letter, email or phone, and request vehicle owners to bring their vehicles to Honda's official dealers for inspection and replacement of spare parts.
Estimated repair time is from 0.5 to 4 hours per vehicle, and the cost of inspection and replacement will be borne by Honda Vietnam.
