Information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of Hanoi City Police said that from July 13, 2026, the unit will officially put into operation the module "Searching for driver's licenses" on the Hanoi City Police Electronic Information Portal, helping people easily monitor the progress of resolving applications for issuance and renewal of driver's licenses (GPLX), contributing to improving the quality of service to the people and promoting administrative procedure reform.
On the morning of July 10, the Hanoi Traffic Police Department organized a conference to deploy and guide the implementation of the "driving license lookup" module for commune-level police with GPLX renewal points. The training content focuses on the process of exploiting, updating data, operating the system and guiding people to use utilities.
Putting the module into operation is one of the specific solutions of the Hanoi Traffic Police Department in implementing digital transformation, putting people at the center of service.
Through the system, people after carrying out procedures for issuing and renewing GPLXs can proactively look up the status of dossier resolution without having to directly go to functional agencies or contact to ask for information as before.
People only need to access the Hanoi City Police Electronic Information Portal, enter the information as requested, the system will automatically compare data and display the status of dossier resolution, the unit being processed, the result delivery location and related information.
Through this, people can know at what stage the dossier is being processed, the expected time to receive the results as well as the place to receive the driver's license after completion.

According to the Hanoi Traffic Police Department, publicizing the status of dossier processing helps people proactively monitor the progress of administrative procedures, save time and travel costs, and contribute to improving publicity and transparency in the dossier process.
For the traffic police force, the module supports reducing the number of direct lookup requests, creating conditions for officers and soldiers to focus on performing professional tasks, improving the quality of administrative procedure resolution.
Along with that, the deployment to commune-level police will effectively promote the role of grassroots police forces in guiding and supporting people to access and use online public services right at their place of residence, contributing to the effective implementation of the policy of decentralization and delegation of power associated with the application of digital technology.
To ensure the effective operation of the system, the Hanoi Traffic Police Department requests units to regularly update and standardize data, maintain stable operation, ensure accurate and timely information, and well meet people's search needs.
Putting the module "Searching for driver's licenses" into operation continues to affirm the unit's determination in promoting digital transformation, administrative reform, improving service quality, towards building a public, transparent, modern administration, serving the needs of people and businesses better and better", Hanoi Traffic Police Department informed.
