According to statistics from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) - Ministry of Public Security, from 7:30 am on June 23 to 7:30 am on June 24, the AI camera system managed by this unit recorded 68 violations at the Pham Van Bach - Hoang Quan Chi intersection.
Among these, there were 39 cases of running red lights, 28 cases of driving motorbikes without helmets and 1 case of going against traffic.
The Traffic Police Department said that the AI camera system operates continuously 24/7, automatically identifies, analyzes images and warns about violations. The collected data contributes to improving the efficiency of ensuring traffic order and safety, and at the same time supports functional forces to detect and handle violations objectively and accurately.
According to the Traffic Police Department, every act such as running red lights, not wearing a helmet or going against traffic flow poses a potential risk of causing traffic accidents, threatening the lives and property of traffic participants.
The Traffic Police Department recommends that people strictly comply with traffic lights, wear standard helmets when driving motorbikes and motorcycles, and absolutely do not go against traffic.
At the same time, the Traffic Police Department emphasized that AI technology is an "extended arm" to support traffic police forces in patrol and control work, but the awareness of law compliance of traffic participants is still a decisive factor in building a civilized and safe traffic environment.
