According to witnesses at the scene, a container truck carrying iron boxes was moving when it suddenly lost its brakes and collided strongly with a passenger car that was about to stop at a red light in front. The incident occurred at the red light area of Luong Bang commune, Hung Yen province (towards the old Hanoi - Thai Binh expressway).
It is known that the passenger bus moved at night, had just returned all the passengers and was driven by only the driver. After the collision, the container truck overturned and caught fire due to an explosion of the oil tank.
Fortunately, both drivers only suffered minor scratches, with no casualties. However, both vehicles were severely damaged, of which the container truck was deformed. The authorities and people were present that night to promptly control the fire to avoid spreading.
By the morning of August 4, the authorities regulated traffic so that vehicles could move easily through the burning container truck road.
