A 2006 BMW Alpina B6 Convertible has attracted the attention of car lovers when it was abandoned for many years in a small alley in the Nguy Nhu Kon Tum street area of Thanh Xuan ward.
Although once considered a rare luxury car with a selling price of no less than 5 billion VND when it arrived in Vietnam, the car has now seriously deteriorated after many years of being exposed to rain and sun.

According to reporters' records, the car has almost no signs of being cared for. The entire body and hood are peeling off the paint, revealing many rusty metal patches. The wheels are completely vaporized, weeds cover and grow through the details and cover the car.
The fabric soft roof, which was the highlight of the convertible version, has faded and rotted after a long period of weather impact.

Through the dusty glass, the interior of the car shows serious degradation. Leather seats and steering wheels are damaged by mold, many patches of leather are peeling off. The dashboard surface shows large cracks due to frequent outdoor high temperatures. Wood and plastic trim details in the cabin also show signs of degradation over time.
Due to being unattended for many years, some components and belongings on the car were also lost.
According to research, the car belongs to the BMW Alpina B6 4.4 Convertible version, developed by Alpina from the BMW 6 Series E63/E64 model and produced in the period 2005-2007. This is a manually assembled car line with a limited quantity.
In BMW player groups, many opinions suggest that this generation Alpina B6 Convertible only has about 210 units produced worldwide.

The car uses a 4,4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, producing a maximum power of 493 horsepower and a maximum torque of 750 Nm, combined with a ZF 6-speed automatic transmission with rear-wheel drive.
Thanks to that, the car has the ability to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just about 4.5 seconds before reaching a maximum speed of nearly 320 km/h. These parameters once made the Alpina B6 one of BMW's notable high-performance convertible models at that time.
Mr. Do Van Nguyen, a resident living near the area where the car was abandoned, said: "I see the car lying here for many years, almost no one comes to use it. Initially, the car was quite new, but the longer it was left, the more it deteriorated, now it looks very pitiful because this is a valuable car.

Meanwhile, Mr. Le Trung Hieu, who regularly passes through this area, shared: "Many people stop to take pictures because they rarely see a BMW Alpina appear. Unfortunately, the car has been abandoned for too long, if it is well preserved, it will still be a very valuable model for collectors".
With a limited production volume and high collectible value, the fact that a BMW Alpina B6 Convertible falls into serious damage makes many car lovers regretful. Many opinions suggest that if properly restored, this model can still become a valuable car in the future.
