On July 5, the Traffic Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police said that it had made a record of administrative violation against Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong L (born in 1987, residing in Dong Gia Nghia ward, Lam Dong province) for the act of driving a car across the level crossing when the red light was turned on.
Previously, after receiving instructions from the Traffic Police Department about the video recorded by the railway industry's camera, the Traffic Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police urgently verified the incident.
According to camera images, at 10:28 am on June 14, 2026, a car with license plate 48A-226. XX had the act of crossing a level crossing when the red light had turned on at Km1285+127, Ninh Hoa - Phong Thanh section on the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line.
At 7:30 am on July 3, 2026, Ninh Hoa Traffic Police Station invited Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong L to work.
At the police station, this female driver admitted that she was the driver of the car with license plate 48A-226. XX who committed the violation as recorded by the railway industry's camera images.
Based on the verification results, Ninh Hoa Traffic Police Station made a record of administrative violation against Ms. L for the act of crossing the level crossing when the red light was turned on according to the provisions of Clause 9, Article 13 of Decree 81/2026/ND-CP.
According to regulations, drivers of cars who commit the above acts will be fined from 18 to 20 million VND, and also have their driving licenses revoked for 1 to 3 months.
The Traffic Police force recommends that vehicle drivers absolutely comply with traffic lights, warning bells and barriers at intersections between roads and railways; do not intentionally overtake when the warning signal is already working to ensure safety for themselves and the community.
