On March 24, Road Traffic Police Team No. 1, Traffic Police Department of Hue City Police, said that they had worked with driver Nguyen Xuan F. (42 years old, residing in Huong Tra ward) to clarify the violations of traffic safety and order.
Previously, based on people's reflections, functional forces verified that the blue-plated pickup truck 75M-000.xx showed signs of carrying goods and people on the truck bed when traveling through the central area of Huong Tra ward.
According to the identification, at about 10:37 am on March 22, this vehicle was carrying many tables and chairs, and also had people sitting behind the truck bed to hold goods during the movement.
Working with the police agency on March 23, driver F. admitted the violation. This person said that he was transporting tables and chairs to serve the local sports festival and was worried that the goods would not be firmly fixed, so he asked someone sitting behind to hold them.
At the time of inspection, the goods had been unloaded, so the functional forces did not have enough grounds to sanction the violation of carrying goods exceeding the permitted size.
Functional agencies have made a record of administrative violation against driver F. for two violations including: carrying people on the truck bed in violation of regulations and transporting goods without binding according to the provisions of Decree 168/2024/ND-CP.
For these violations, the driver was fined a total of 15 million VND and had 10 points deducted from his driver's license.
Previously, a clip recording the scene of a pickup truck carrying bulky goods, with people sitting behind the truck bed, circulating on National Highway 1 through Hue City spread on social networks, causing much public outrage.
