The benefits of jogging are clear: it helps increase blood circulation, improve heart function and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.
Regular jogging can help lower blood pressure, reduce bad cholesterol and increase good cholesterol. And jogging is one of the most effective ways to burn calories, help lose weight and maintain a healthy body shape.
It stimulates metabolism, helping the body consume energy more efficiently. Along with the above uses, it helps develop and maintain muscle strength, especially the leg and hip muscles, reducing stress and anxiety. In particular, running enhances social communication. Joining running groups or long-distance running events such as marathons helps you connect with many people with similar interests, creating more motivation and joy when exercising.
However, organizing many running events in densely populated areas cannot avoid inconveniences.
I have a friend in Long Bien who has complained many times about wanting to move to another place. When asked why, my friend said it was because Long Bien organizes too many races. It sounds wrong but it makes sense. Many people here feel bothered. My friend said: “Like this morning at 8am, I drove from Viet Hung to Nguyen Van Linh to get on Highway 5B, it took me exactly 1 hour and 15 minutes for a distance of about 3km. The reason is that the roads are blocked because of the race being organized. Has anyone calculated all the losses for the people and transportation companies? With 3-4 races every month, who can stand it?”
It turns out that running and organizing races have social elements.
Doctor Nguyen Huy Hoang - a health consultant - raised the question: Should we organize more races? The doctor analyzed that races should be organized because: "Stimulate the economy and tourism.Promote and enhance the image of the locality where the races are held.Encourage the sports movement, our people are not very active.Bring economic benefits to the organizers, help businesses promote their brands".
Why not? Because many races today affect the movement of the community. Creating loud noises at night and early in the morning affects people's sleep. Poor organization, blocking the road without warning, and after the race, no one cleans up the obstacles.
The problem turned out to be the organization. If the race was properly prepared to become a cultural and media highlight and the road blocking plan was announced early and publicly so that everyone would know, this would be a welcome activity.
Community activities, especially large-scale sports events, need to be planned to avoid affecting the people. That is also the way to encourage and inspire a healthy, civilized society.
