(abbreviated as Duc Thinh Concrete) arbitrarily pouring soil and building embankments encroaching on the Da River flow in Dao Xa commune that Lao Dong Newspaper reported on January 25, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province has issued a document directing inspection and handling.
Specifically, on January 26, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province issued document No. 336/SVHTT&DL-QLBCXB to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Phu Tho province, Dao Xa Commune People's Committee on transferring the content reflected by the press.
The document clearly states that on January 25, 2026, Lao Dong Newspaper published an article "Landing and building embankments invading the Da Giang River", the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism transferred the content reflected by the press to the Department of Agriculture and Environment and the People's Committee of Dao Xa commune to organize verification and handling according to the provisions of law; at the same time, send the verification and handling results to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism for monitoring and summarizing to report to the Provincial People's Committee.
In another development, informing reporters, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thanh - Head of the Economic Department of Dao Xa commune - said that on the morning of January 26, leaders of the Party Committee, People's Committee, and relevant agencies of Dao Xa commune coordinated with dike management units, waterway traffic police teams... to conduct actual inspections at the Da River section passing through area 5, old Thach Dong commune.
Immediately after receiving feedback from the press, Dao Xa commune coordinated with relevant functional units to quickly inspect, verify, and direct urgent remediation according to the provisions of law" - Mr. Thanh stated his opinion.
In the afternoon of the same day, local people informed that excavators and trucks had arrived at the Da River bank where Lao Dong Newspaper reflected the situation of dumping soil and building embankments encroaching on the river flow - to excavate soil and transport soil that had been dumped elsewhere, and remediation is underway according to the direction of Dao Xa Commune People's Committee.
