The draft of the Ministry of Health proposes a list of infectious diseases and subjects requiring vaccination in the Expanded Immunization Program.

Diseases and related subjects include:

Tuberculosis: Tuberculosis vaccine (Children)

Chicken Cough: Coordinated vaccine contains chickenpox ingredients (Children)

Scalp disease: Coordinated vaccine containing tetanus ingredients (Children); Tetus vaccination for pregnant women (Pregnant women)

Political diseases: Oral polio vaccine (Children); Injected polio vaccine (Children)

Disease caused by Haemophilus influenzae type B: Haemophilus influenzae vaccine type b single-priced or combination vaccine with Haemophilus influenzae group b ingredient (Children)

Measles: Vaccine contains measles ingredients (Children); Coordinated vaccine contains measles ingredients (Children)

Japanese encephalitis B: Japanese encephalitis vaccine B (Children)

rubella: Coordinated vaccine contains rubella (Children)

Rota viral diarrhea: Rota vaccine (Children)

The vaccination schedule will be implemented according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health.

The Ministry of Health also proposed another list, related to subjects that need to use vaccines and mandatory health products for people at risk of infectious diseases in epidemic areas or people going to epidemic areas.

According to the draft, the determination of vaccine users on the list specified in this Article will be decided by the Department of Health and submitted to the People's Committees of provinces and cities or under the direction of the Ministry of Health based on the epidemic situation, vaccine supply conditions, and local resources.

Regarding the scope of vaccine use, the Ministry of Health proposed to deploy vaccines in the list for children and pregnant women nationwide in the Expanded Immunization Program. As for the vaccine against epidemics and the cervical cancer vaccine, the implementation will follow the instructions of the Ministry of Health, based on Resolution No. 104/NQ-CP dated August 15, 2022 of the Government on the roadmap to increase the number of vaccines in the Expanded Immunization Program for the period 2021-2030.

The determination of the scope of vaccine use in the list will be decided by the Department of Health and the People's Committees of provinces and cities according to the epidemic situation and local resources.
