The electronic information page of the Can Tho Department of Health updates information that the leaders of the Department of Health have awarded Decisions to appoint Directors and Deputy Directors of regional general hospitals and a series of decisions to appoint heads and deputy heads of departments, divisions, chief accountants, chief nurses, chief midwives, and chief technicians of 20 regional general hospitals.
This contributes to consolidating the leadership and management team at specialized departments and regional general hospitals in Can Tho City.
The Department also awarded the decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Phan Quoc Quyen, Deputy Head of the Sub-Department of Population and Social Affairs to hold the position of Deputy Chief of Office of the Department of Health, with a term of 05 years from September 1, 2026.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Quoc Cuong, Director of Can Tho Department of Health, requested that in their new positions, officials continue to promote the spirit of responsibility, professional capacity, and unite with the collective to successfully complete the assigned tasks.
Regional general hospitals need to urgently stabilize their organization, complete the handover of contingency functions, personnel, assets, equipment and related facilities to health stations in September 2026; focus on improving professional capacity, strengthening links and cooperation with upper-level hospitals to train and transfer techniques; continue to provide comprehensive professional support to health stations, promote the role of intermediate level between grassroots health and specialized health.
