CDC Can Tho has also monitored mosquito density for the second time before implementing chemical spraying activities in Binh Thuy ward. Accordingly, there is a risk of many tools containing mosquito larvae/ods, which can still increase the density of disease-carrying mosquitoes in the community.
According to the report of the Health Center (TTYT) of Thot Not area, as of August 26, 2025, the total number of dengue fever cases recorded in Trung Nhut, Thot Not, Thuan Hung, Tan Loc wards was 75 cases of dengue fever, an increase of 20 cases compared to the same period in 2024. Thuan Hung ward alone had 47 cases of dengue fever, an increase of 26 cases over the same period. Thuan Hung ward has 10 hamlets/areas, of which Tan Phuoc 1, Tan An, Tan Thanh and Lan Thanh 1 are hot spots for dengue fever.

Previously, Dr. CKII Ha Tan Vinh - Deputy Director of CDC Can Tho City said that, compared to the average 5-year cycle of a disease outbreak into an epidemic at one time, this time is considered the outbreak period in the community.
"The index of mosquitoes and vultures in all localities of Can Tho has increased compared to last year, so each citizen should not be subjective but need to join hands to implement it. On the infectious disease monitoring system, Can Tho City has recorded more than 1,840 cases of dengue fever, no deaths have been recorded.
At Can Tho Children's Hospital, a final-line pediatric hospital in the Mekong Delta region, in the first 6 months of 2025, it treated more than 600 outpatient dengue fever cases, an increase of 52% over the same period in 2024; 554 inpatient cases, an increase of 51%.

According to statistics from Can Tho Central General Hospital to Lao Dong, as of the end of August, there were 138 cases of dengue fever, the number of cases in July and August increased by about 40% over the same period.
Doctor Pham Tan Dat, Department of Tropical Diseases of the Hospital - informed: "Currently, dengue fever in adults is progressing a lot, with dangerous complications such as hepatitis, shock leading to low blood pressure... therefore, all people, especially those with the disease, should not be subjective to this disease".
