On April 10, the Government Office announced that Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 742/QD-TTg to establish a Central Inter-sectoral Steering Committee on organizing the execution of judgments and recovering misappropriated and lost assets in cases related to Van Thinh Phat Group.
Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh is the Head of the Steering Committee.

The Deputy Head of the Committee is Minister of Justice Nguyen Hai Ninh.

At the same time, it invited representatives of leaders of departments and branches to join the Steering Committee: Mr. Nguyen Huu Dong - Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission; Mr. Nguyen Quoc Doan - Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court; Mr. Nguyen Quang Dung - Deputy Director of the Supreme People's Procuracy; Mr. Bui Quoc Dung - Deputy State Auditor General.
According to the decision, the Steering Committee is an inter-sectoral coordination organization, assisting the Prime Minister in researching, directing, and coordinating the resolution of important, inter-sectoral tasks on organizing the execution of judgments and recovering assets that have been misappropriated or lost in cases related to Van Thinh Phat Group.
The Steering Committee is responsible for researching, consulting, recommending, and proposing directions and solutions to resolve important, interdisciplinary issues on organizing enforcement of judgments and recovering misappropriated and lost assets in cases related to Van Thinh Phat Group.
Direct and coordinate between ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies and relevant agencies and organizations in resolving important, inter-sectoral issues in the execution of judgments.
The Ministry of Justice is the standing agency of the Steering Committee, using the existing apparatus to assist the Steering Committee in performing its tasks.
