Information from Can Tho Central General Hospital, at noon on February 3, a delegation of Can Tho City People's Committee led by Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee, visited doctors and nurses of Can Tho Central General Hospital before Binh Ngo Tet 2026.
Reporting to the working delegation, BSCKII. Nguyen Minh Vu - Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Hospital - said that in 2025, the Hospital continued to record many outstanding results in medical examination and treatment and professional and technical development. Notably, the Hospital successfully performed 18 kidney transplants with professional support from Cho Ray Hospital, including 2 transplants from brain-dead donors. The total number of surgeries in the year reached 23,162 cases, exceeding 23.2% compared to the plan.
The hospital promotes the development of the health economy, deploys the assessment of the Work Efficiency Index (KPI) in departments and rooms; expands international cooperation, and continues to affirm its role as a final-line unit for health care for people in the Mekong Delta (Mekong Delta) region.

At the working session, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Truong Canh Tuyen expressed his impression of the comprehensive development of the Hospital, especially the breakthroughs in the deployment of specialized techniques in diagnosis and treatment.
Mr. Tuyen affirmed that, with the achievements already made, the hospital is worthy of its leading medical position in the Mekong Delta region, making important contributions to the overall socio-economic development of the city, directing to continue to promote the hospital's central role in health care for 4.2 million people in Can Tho City as well as people in the region.
