On February 26, Da Nang City People's Committee organized a program to award the "Shining White Blouse" award in 2025 and emulation titles and forms of commendation to celebrate the 71st anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day.
At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee honored 51 individuals who received the "Shining White Blouse" award in 2025. This is a separate award of Da Nang city to honor typical examples in people's health care work. City leaders also awarded the Third-class Labor Medal, Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister and the title of Meritorious Doctor to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the past time.


According to Director of Da Nang City Department of Health Tran Thanh Thuy, the average life expectancy of people reaches 75.5 years old and the rate of health insurance participation reaches 93.5% of the population. The city currently has a rate of 61.83 beds and 15 doctors per 10,000 people. The health sector has also completed electronic health record management for more than 95% of the population and recorded a satisfaction rate of people with health services of over 90%. Digital transformation and investment in key health projects are focused on implementation to meet the increasing demand for medical examination and treatment.
Speaking to direct at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Duc An, Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee, praised the contributions of the team of doctors and medical staff. He affirmed that city leaders will continue to pay attention to investing resources and creating conditions for the health sector to develop in a specialized and modern direction. The city aims to become a health center of the Central - Central Highlands region and focuses on improving the quality of fair and effective health services for all people.
In 2026, Da Nang's health sector will focus on consolidating the organizational structure and strengthening the grassroots health system, especially in mountainous and difficult areas. The sector continues to implement periodic health check-ups, free screening and free hospital admission according to the Ministry of Health's roadmap. Health units in the area are committed to promoting the application of science and technology and innovating service styles towards patient satisfaction.
