Dak Nong records hundreds of measles cases

BẢO LÂM |

Dak Nong - As of mid-March 2025, the whole province recorded 292 cases of measles. Of which, there were cases confirmed through testing and 242 clinical cases.

In the face of the complicated developments of the measles epidemic, the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches, sectors and localities to strictly implement epidemic prevention and control work.

Relevant units coordinate with the health sector to review and manage vaccination subjects, ensuring no missed vaccinations, especially in high-risk areas.

The Department of Health speeds up the progress of measles vaccination, completing before March 31, 2025, effectively using aid vaccines and expanded immunization programs, while mobilizing more social resources.

The health sector needs to comply with the professional instructions of the Ministry of Health, increase the application of information technology, support remote medical examination and treatment, and assign doctors to support lower-level facilities, especially in disadvantaged areas.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism proactively detects and handles false information about epidemics on social networks, avoiding causing public confusion.

The People's Committees of districts and cities direct compensatory vaccination and catch-up vaccination for children who have not been vaccinated or have not been vaccinated enough, especially in high-risk areas and disadvantaged areas, speeding up the vaccination campaign.

Sectors and localities continue to propagate and mobilize people to take disease prevention measures, take children for vaccination, and go to medical facilities when there are signs of disease.

Localities need to ensure financial support, resources for the health system, equipment for vaccination work...
