The Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province has just requested the Department of Health to urgently advise on the development and submission to the Provincial People's Committee for promulgation of the Plan for Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases and the Expanded Immunization Plan for 2025.
The Department of Health needs to closely monitor and supervise the situation of infectious diseases in the area. Pay special attention to the increase in cases of respiratory diseases and severe pneumonia caused by viruses. It is necessary to prevent infectious diseases that often occur during the Lunar New Year and festival season such as: measles, dengue fever, hand, foot and mouth disease, rabies and avian influenza.
The Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Health to ensure the organization of expanded vaccination on schedule and effectively deploy the measles vaccination campaign to quickly control the situation.
Emergency, admission and treatment of patients must be ensured, especially during the 2025 Lunar New Year. Severe cases and deaths must be minimized. Screening, triage and isolation procedures must be strictly implemented to ensure infection prevention, avoid cross-infection and prevent outbreaks in medical facilities.
The Hai Duong Provincial Department of Health needs to prepare a plan in case of an increase in hospitalizations due to infectious diseases. Coordinate with departments, branches, and localities to ensure logistics, funding, drugs, vaccines, biological products, supplies, chemicals, equipment, and human resources according to the 4 on-site motto.
It is necessary to prepare response plans for possible situations and be ready to deploy rapid response teams to serve the work of preventing and controlling infectious diseases. Inspection and supervision of the implementation of infectious disease prevention and control and vaccination during the Lunar New Year and festival season also need to be organized regularly.
