The campaign is organized at health stations in communes, wards and towns across the province, striving to achieve an coverage rate of over 99% of children of all ages. Some localities in Hai Duong province have a large number of additional children such as Tu Ky district (10,869 children), Gia Loc (7,115 children) and Ninh Giang (6,573 children). Localities have fully prepared medicine, arranged medical staff and developed an early propaganda plan for parents to take their children to take vitamin supplements on time.
Supplementing high doses of Vitamin A is important in preventing and combating eye diseases, helping to boost immunity, supporting physical and intellectual development for young children. This is an effective measure to improve micronutrient deficiency - one of the main causes affecting the growth, development and long-term health of children.
To ensure the safety and effectiveness of the campaign, the Hai Duong Department of Health has established 4 inspection and supervision teams to organize vitamin A intake at the facility. Thereby promptly detecting and correcting arising problems, ensuring compliance with professional processes and technical professional quality.
