Hanoi - Hoe Nhai General Hospital in coordination with Hong Ha Ward People's Committee organizes free health check-ups and care for people with meritorious services.

Towards the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), from July 21 to July 24, Hoe Nhai General Hospital in coordination with Hong Ha Ward People's Committee organized a free health check-up and care program for policy beneficiaries, relatives of martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution in the area.

Being cared for and health-cared for, many wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs and people with meritorious services expressed their joy and emotion at this meaningful activity.

As one of the people with meritorious services invited to participate in the program, Mr. Nguyen Manh Thang (Hong Ha ward) said that this is an activity showing the concern of the Party, State and local authorities for those who have contributed to the cause of struggle and defense of the Fatherland.

According to Mr. Thang, when participating in the program, he underwent general examinations, specialized examinations and learned more about his health condition.

Hopefully, activities like this will be organized regularly so that people with meritorious services and policy families continue to receive attention from the government, and at the same time have the conditions to monitor their health periodically," Mr. Thang shared.

Not only Mr. Thang, many people with meritorious services in the area also participated in health check-ups during this occasion.

Mr. Phung Van Hung, a person with meritorious services to the revolution, expressed his emotion when invited to Hoe Nhai General Hospital for a health check-up.

The ward and mass organizations always care for and take care of us. I would like to thank the ward leaders and doctors and nurses for creating conditions for us to have medical examinations and health care," Mr. Hung said.

According to the plan, people will have general examinations, specialist examinations, tests, heart-lung X-rays, health consultations and electronic health records. According to doctors, most policy beneficiaries and people with meritorious services are old and have many underlying diseases. Therefore, periodic health check-ups are important in early detection, monitoring and treatment of diseases.

Directly participating in the examination, Dr. Pham Ngoc Thanh, Emergency Department, Hoe Nhai General Hospital, said that most people when coming for examination are very happy and excited. Most people examined are suffering from underlying diseases and are being treated at many medical facilities. Through this examination, doctors can assess the progression of the disease, and at the same time detect more cases that have not been diagnosed with diseases such as hypertension to advise and guide timely control.

According to Dr. Thanh, the program not only helps people receive health care but also contributes to screening for non-communicable diseases that are of concern to the health sector such as cardiovascular disease and high blood pressure. The collected data will also serve statistics, health management and building more effective disease prevention solutions.

According to the plan, in this phase, Hong Ha ward has 1,313 policy beneficiaries who will have health check-ups and gifts.

Not only contributing to taking care of the health of people with meritorious services and policy beneficiaries, the program is also a practical activity expressing the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source", sending deep gratitude to wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs and those who have contributed and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
