On May 30, the Department of Health of Lam Dong province said that the locality continues to implement a free health check-up program for people after a temporary suspension from May 15, 2026.

According to Decision No. 2445/QD-UBND signed by Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Vo Ngoc Hiep, the province has supplemented 200 billion VND from the 2026 budget contingency to implement the program.
Of which, more than 195.4 billion VND was allocated to public health facilities and nearly 4.6 billion VND was allocated to the People's Committees of communes, wards, and special zones to serve the organization of health check-ups for people.
The Provincial People's Committee requests relevant units to ensure timely allocation of funds, strict management, use for the right purpose, avoid loss, waste and do not overlap with expenditures from the Health Insurance Fund.

According to the plan, the program will provide free health check-ups for more than 3.24 million people in the province, divided into two phases.
In the first 6 months of 2026, the health sector strives to examine nearly 1.26 million people, completing at least 50% of the workload before June 30, 2026.
The last 6 months of the year will conduct health check-ups for about 1.98 million remaining people, aiming to complete the entire program before December 31, 2026.

To ensure professional quality and avoid overload at medical facilities, the Department of Health requests hospitals and health centers to proactively develop plans, classify priority subjects and arrange appropriate examination schedules.
The program prioritizes people with meritorious services, policy beneficiaries, the elderly, children under 6 years old and people living in remote and isolated areas.
According to the Department of Health of Lam Dong province, health check-up results will be digitized, electronic health records will be created and integrated on the VNeID application, and at the same time interconnected with the health insurance appraisal system.
The implementation of the program not only helps people screen and detect diseases early, but also contributes to building a synchronous health database, serving the goal of digital transformation in the local health sector.
