Free health check-up schedule for Hanoi students on August 19-20

According to statistics, the whole city has more than 2.2 million children and students at 4,776 educational institutions from preschool to high school and inter-level schools receiving free health check-ups.

All health check-up costs are guaranteed by the city budget according to Resolution No. 14/2026/NQ-HĐND dated June 2, 2026, stipulating social security support policies for people in the Capital.

A notable point is ensuring the creation, updating, data entry, and data interconnection with the city's electronic health records system and the common platforms of the Ministry of Health, integrating health check-up information into electronic school records to continuously manage the health of children and students according to the life cycle.

According to the plan, for children under 6 years old in preschool education institutions, they will be fully examined in terms of clinical expertise such as: vital signs; nutritional status assessment; assessment of mental and motor development; vaccination assessment; full-body and organ examination (skin, head - neck, eyes, ears, nose and throat, teeth, mouth, respiratory, cardiovascular, abdominal and genital organs, musculoskeletal, neurological, detection of autism risk).

For students from 6 years old to under 18 years old in general education institutions, they are fully examined for clinical specialty contents such as: family history exploitation, personal history (genital medicine, vaccination, disease, currently undergoing treatment), physical examination and specialties: pediatrics (circulation, respiratory, digestive, kidney - urinary, reproductive, neurological, mental, other clinical examinations - musculoskeletal...), eyes, ears, nose, throat, maxillofacial. In case there is a prescription for paraclinical examination, transfer according to health insurance.

The results of the examination and professional consultation are expected to be notified to parents or caregivers within 24 to 48 hours after the examination ends. Students who cannot participate according to the schedule will be reviewed by the school and health station to organize additional examinations.
