Recently, the Drug Administration of Vietnam – Ministry of Health has sent a document to the Department of Health of provinces and centrally-run cities; Oceanpharma Joint Stock Company; Quang Xanh Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Company Limited regarding the suspension of circulation and nationwide recall of cosmetic batches that do not meet quality standards.
Accordingly, Deputy Director of the Drug Administration Department Ta Manh Hung signed and issued a decision to suspend circulation and recall cosmetics that do not meet quality standards with a batch of Raileza products, box of 1 bottle, 120ml.
This product is used to help clean lice and other parasites from the skin and hair.
The suspended and recalled batch of Raileza cosmetic products was produced in March 2024, with the label showing the announcement number: 94/22/CBMPHY; Batch number: 062024, and Oceanpharma Joint Stock Company is responsible for bringing the product to the market (address: Lot 45-LK1, An Hung Urban Area, Duong Noi Ward, Ha Dong District, Hanoi; Manufacturer: Quang Xanh Pharmaceutical and Cosmetics Company Limited, address: Hanh Lac Village, Nhu Quynh Town, Van Lam District, Hung Yen Province).
Reason for recalling the test sample that does not meet the quality requirements for the microbial limit index in cosmetics as prescribed; The product is not classified as a cosmetic product.
The above product sample was taken by the Drug, Cosmetic and Food Testing Center - Thua Thien Hue Provincial Department of Health at a pharmacy in Hue City, Thua Thien Hue Province, for quality testing. The sample did not meet the quality standards for the limit of microorganisms in cosmetics as prescribed.
The Drug Administration of Vietnam requests the Department of Health of provinces and cities to notify cosmetic businesses and users in the area to immediately stop trading and using the above RAILEZA product and return it to the supplier; Proceed to recall the above-mentioned violating products; inspect and supervise units implementing this notice; handle violators according to current regulations.
The Drug Administration also requested the Hanoi and Hung Yen Departments of Health to inspect the two companies in their compliance with the provisions of the law on cosmetics management in the production and trading of cosmetics.
Supervise Oceanpharma Joint Stock Company and Quang Xanh Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Company Limited to recall RAILEZA products that do not meet regulations. Handle and punish violations according to current regulations and report to the Department before November 9, 2024.
