On March 3, Vung Tau General Hospital (Phuoc Thang ward, Ho Chi Minh City) said it had received and treated dozens of patients hospitalized for treatment with signs of food poisoning.
Among them, 6 cases had previously been identified as using bread at a facility on Do Chieu street, Vung Tau ward. These cases are being monitored and treated at the Departments of Pediatrics and Infectious Diseases of the hospital.


Mr. T.M. T (34 years old, residing in Phuoc Thang ward) said that the whole family including husband and wife and 2.5-year-old child were hospitalized for treatment. Previously, on the evening of March 2, Mr. T bought bread at a facility on Do Chieu street for the whole family to use.
Until after 12 pm, I felt a sharp abdominal pain, this morning and noon it was my wife and child's turn to get it. Now I don't have abdominal pain anymore, just a slight fever," Mr. T said.

Not going to the hospital for treatment, Ms. T.A (Vung Tau ward) said: "After eating bread at a facility on Do Chieu street, at about 2:30 am on March 3, the family of 3 people developed symptoms of abdominal pain, vomiting and poisoning. Up to now, it has temporarily stabilized, only a mild fever remains.
Vung Tau Ward People's Committee said that it has grasped information about the incident and established an inspection team for the bread establishment to verify and clarify.
