Regarding the incident of a woman dying unexpectedly at a private clinic (at 69 Le Thanh Tong Street, Dong Ve Ward, Thanh Hoa City), the Thanh Hoa Provincial Department of Health has issued a quick report on the incident.

One of the notable points in the report shows that at around 11am on May 28, the patient was taken to the above clinic by his family. After the examination, at around 11am, Mr. Duong Van Tho (clinic owner) directly injected anesthetic drugs into the patient to treat the damage.
However, after the drug was injected, the patient's symptoms gradually decreased and there was no longer a reflex. Realizing that the patient had anaphylactic shock, Mr. Tho treated the patient with anti-shock by injecting more Adrenalin and applying emergency measures. At around 2:00 p.m. the same day, the patient died at the clinic.
According to a report of the Department of Health of Thanh Hoa, the patient died at about 14h on 28.5. However, according to the patient's family, until about 15:00 the same day, an ambulance came to the clinic and had 3 to 4 people carrying the patient's stretcher down, saying that the patient had allergies should be taken to emergency. However, the family members found that the patient had died, so he did not agree to send and report the incident to the authorities. Thereby showing that, when the patient died, the clinic still tried to take the victim away.
Regarding the medical examination and treatment process in the above case, whether the clinic owner is allowed to perform anesthesia or not, the representative of the Thanh Hoa Department of Health said: "It is not possible to give an opinion on this matter".
Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, at noon and afternoon of May 28, at the Forensic Clinic (No. 69 Le Thanh Tong Street, Dong Ve Ward, Thanh Hoa City), an incident occurred where a woman died while undergoing surgery and collapsed her collarbone.
On the night of May 28, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police coordinated with C09 - Ministry of Public Security to conduct a crime scene investigation and autopsy. The body was then handed over to the family for burial in his hometown.
Given the seriousness of the incident, the Thanh Hoa Department of Health has decided to temporarily suspend all medical examination and treatment activities of the Surgery Clinic managed by Dr. Duong Van Tho for a period of 2 months, starting from 4:00 p.m. on May 29, 2025.
It is known that the owner of the above clinic is Mr. Duong Van Tho (born in 1964), currently the Head of the Trauma Department of Thanh Hoa General Hospital.
According to Thanh Hoa Department of Health, on May 29, after the incident, the unit sent a written request to the General Hospital of Thanh Hoa Province to ask Mr. Duong Van Tho to report in detail the case, and at the same time sent an invitation to Mr. Tho to work on the afternoon of the same day. However, because Mr. Tho is working with the Police Investigation Police Department of the province, it is not possible.
