1. That person is no longer the first person you want to share with.
When encountering a funny story, a success, or a difficulty in life, the first person you think of is no longer your lover but friends, colleagues, or someone else.
The loss of the need to share and seek empathy from the other person shows that the emotional bond between two people is gradually decreasing.
2. You often compare
Instead of being proud of your loved one, you start to see many shortcomings and unconsciously compare them to those around you.
You imagine being happier if you are with someone else and no longer excited to talk about your lover as before. This is a sign that admiration and attractiveness in the relationship are gradually decreasing.
3. You stay just because of responsibility or guilt
There are people who continue to maintain a relationship not because they still love each other but because they are worried that the other person will be hurt, face financial difficulties or be unable to be independent after breaking up.
When the reason for being together is only responsibility, pity or feeling of remorse, love may not be the same as before.
4. Two people no longer have a common goal in life
People change over time and the priorities in life are also the same. If in the past two people were heading towards a common future but now pursue completely different values, the distance between the two will become greater.
Things that used to be attractive can become the cause of a rift in the relationship.
5. You become indifferent and want to avoid spending time with your partner
One of the clearest signs is indifference. You no longer think about the other person when making a decision, no longer eager to go home or meet them after a long day. Even, you actively work overtime, look for other jobs or postpone replying to messages just to have less time to interact.
When the presence of that person no longer brings joy, love may have gradually closed.
All relationships have challenging stages and should not be hastily concluded based only on a few temporary signs. However, if many of the above signs appear for a long time and both no longer want to improve together, it may be time to seriously review the relationship and make appropriate decisions for both.
