On the afternoon of February 2, Quang Tri Provincial Police confirmed that during the Lunar New Year holiday (from January 25 to February 2), many violations of the law on the use of fireworks were discovered.
Accordingly, the police forces of various units and localities discovered and handled 43 cases/45 subjects violating the law on fireworks, confiscating 65 kg of various types of fireworks, 300 firecrackers; mobilized and recovered 10 boxes of various types of fireworks, 33 firecrackers, 3 homemade guns, 2 detonators. On New Year's Eve alone, 34 cases/34 subjects related to illegal use of fireworks were discovered.
To ensure security and order during the Tet holiday, Quang Tri Provincial Police have established and deployed armed patrol teams, including Traffic Police, Drug Crime Prevention Police, Mobile Police, and Criminal Police on duty 24/7.
The authorities discovered, investigated and clarified 2 cases of social order crimes, handled 6 subjects; arrested 1 case/1 subject in Dakrong district for illegally transporting drugs, and seized 12,000 synthetic drug pills.
