Da Nang City Police on July 23 said that the Criminal Police Department, City Police had prosecuted and temporarily detained 6 subjects in a horror murder case that occurred in An Khe Ward on the night of July 15, causing a young man to die. The subjects are being investigated for the acts of "Intentionally causing injury" and "Disturbing public order".
According to the investigation results, stemming from a previous conflict, in the early morning of July 15, a group of about 15 subjects led by Vo Tran Huy Vu (16 years old) brought weapons and drove a motorbike to chase a group of 4 people of "Thanh Tit" around the Central Bus Station. The chase took place at a terrifying speed, about 80-100km/h, with both sides using pepper spray to attack each other.
When arriving at the Nguyen Cong Hoan - Cao Son Phao intersection, the vehicle of victim Nguyen Ho Phi H collided strongly with a truck. As soon as H and her friend fell onto the road, Huy Vu's group rushed in, used a wooden stick, limbs and a pepper spray to " hit the gang" without any pity. Only when they saw H unconscious did the group leave. Although he was taken to the emergency room by local people, Nguyen Ho Phi H did not survive.
Upon receiving the report, the Criminal Police Department promptly took action. In just a few hours, the police force verified and brought 11 related subjects back to work. Based on documents and evidence, the Investigation Police Agency has prosecuted and temporarily detained 6 main subjects, including Nguyen Manh Hung, Truong Thi Kim Ngan, Nguyen Van Hung, Nguyen Van Tam, Huynh Le Bao Quoc and Nguyen Quynh Anh.
This is a group of teenagers who often gather to cause trouble. The ringleader, Vo Tran Huy Vu, and another accomplice, although under 16 years old, had participated in a previous riot case but had not been prosecuted because they were not old enough to bear criminal responsibility. The case is currently being further investigated to strictly handle all related subjects.
