On July 21, the leaders of Le Thanh Nghi ward (Hai Phong city) urgently directed functional forces to mobilize facilities and prepare all conditions to evacuate people to safety before storm Wipha made landfall.
The dormitory of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted is used as a place to eat and live, with full blankets, necessities, electricity and water systems to ensure temporary living conditions.
Medical forces, militia, and unions are on duty 24/7 at evacuation points to support people, ready to handle arising situations. The ward government calls on people to strictly follow evacuation instructions, proactively move out of areas at risk of insecurity, contributing to minimizing damage caused by natural disasters.

Along with Le Thanh Nghi ward, other localities such as Thach Khoi and Ai Quoc wards are also proactively responding to storm No. 3. In Thach Khoi, residential groups have simultaneously mobilized people to clear the flow, harvest crops early, prune trees in front of their houses and clean up the garden to prevent damage.
Ai Quoc Ward Police have organized forces down to each street and residential area to coordinate with people to build houses, check power systems and areas at risk of flooding, and at the same time review and prepare evacuation plans for households if heavy rain continues.
With the spirit of urgency, responsibility and high determination of the authorities and forces at the grassroots level, the evacuation and safety protection work for people in Hai Phong City is being seriously and synchronously deployed, ready to respond to all situations caused by storm Wipha.
