Regarding the issue reflected by the people, the Economic Department - Quang Bi Commune People's Committee (Hanoi) said that through inspection and review of records, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thao, born in 1935, residing in Dong Le village, Quang Bi commune, is considered an elderly person with difficult circumstances.
Previously, Ms. Thao was entitled to allowances according to Resolution No. 17/2023/NQ-HDND of the Hanoi City People's Council.
Including a monthly support policy for lonely elderly people from near-poor households. However, according to regulations, Resolution No. 17 only implements support until the end of December 2025.
Ms. Thao's failure to continue to enjoy the support regime according to Resolution 17 is due to the expiration of the policy's application period, not due to arbitrary cuts or omissions of beneficiaries.
To ensure social security rights for Ms. Thao in the current period, the Quang Bi Commune Economic Department has guided Ms. Nguyen Thi Thao to the Quang Bi digital public service support point to be considered and guided to implement other social security regimes suitable to the subject according to current regulations.
The People's Committee of Quang Bi commune will continue to pay attention and coordinate with specialized agencies to consider and support Ms. Thao in accordance with regulations, ensuring that people in difficult circumstances do not miss out on policies, especially during the end of the year and Lunar New Year.
