Ho Chi Minh City - The approximately 300m long road connecting Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street with Nguyen Dinh Chieu street is officially named after Pham Khac.

On February 6, Saigon Ward People's Committee held a ceremony to announce the decision to name Pham Khac street for the road connecting the two traffic axes Nguyen Thi Minh Khai and Nguyen Dinh Chieu.

Pham Khac street is about 300 m long, road boundary 10 m, belonging to Saigon ward. The road has its starting point at No. 12 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai and its ending point at No. 5 Nguyen Dinh Chieu.

In particular, the road is opposite the headquarters of Ho Chi Minh City Radio and Television Station - where the late journalist Pham Khac had more than 30 years of attachment and full dedication to the radio and television career of the city.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports emphasized that naming Pham Khac street not only meets urban management requirements but also has profound educational value.

This is not simply a traffic route, but also a space of culture, history, revolutionary journalism, contributing to educating traditions for today's and future generations" - Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut shared.

He also expressed his expectation that in the coming time, the city will continue to consider, select and name streets and roads for many typical journalists, intellectuals, and artists - people who have made important contributions to the development of Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Cao Anh Minh - Director of Ho Chi Minh City Radio and Television Station said that the HTV collective is extremely proud that the name NSND Pham Khac - former Director of Ho Chi Minh City Television Station was given to the route located in the space closely associated with the city's radio and television industry.

The naming of Pham Khac street near the station headquarters is not only the recognition of the Party Committee and people of Ho Chi Minh City for his great contributions, but also the pride of the HTV collective for a model leader, a great personality and the eldest brother of the radio and television industry" - Mr. Cao Anh Minh shared.

Journalist Pham Khac is one of 60 typical individuals in the cause of building and developing Ho Chi Minh City in the period 1975 - 2025, honored by the city on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and national reunification.

With his persistent contributions to cinema and television, he was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist in 1984, People's Artist in 1997 and Labor Hero in 2000. In 2007, People's Artist Pham Khac passed away in Ho Chi Minh City.
