Information from Road Traffic Police Team No. 1, Traffic Police Department of Yen Bai province, that Provincial Road 166 has recently been under construction, making it difficult for vehicles to move. Meanwhile, the route through Yen Bai city has been banned according to the Decision of the Department of Transport of Yen Bai province, so some trucks carrying sand have gone from the mine in Y Can commune, Tran Yen district along the inter-commune road to National Highway 37.
Upset by the situation of large trucks carrying sand running all day and night, causing damage to the road, high risk of traffic accidents, on the night of March 10, people in Vuc Tron village, Luong Thinh commune, Tran Yen district blocked the road, not allowing these convoys of vehicles to pass.


According to Ms. Hanh, the road connecting Cau Rao with National Highway 37 running through Vuc Tron village, Luong Thinh commune is only 3.5 meters wide, but many sand trucks are 2.5 meters wide, occupying almost the entire roadway. There are only about 1 meter left on both sides of the ditch, so many students and adults have fallen. Many accidents have occurred, security cameras cannot record them, so they cannot be resolved.


After receiving feedback from the people, Road Traffic Police Team No. 1, Traffic Police Department of Yen Bai province came to record the actual situation and accepted the opinions of the people.
The team has drawn up a record of handling the vehicles, and coordinated with the District Traffic Safety Committee and the Tran Yen District Infrastructure Economic Department to organize the placement of signs to limit the load at both ends of the route, then organized forces to control and work with all sandbanks, requiring a commitment not to travel on the route if they do not comply with regulations.


Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper had many articles reflecting that Provincial Road 166 - the main traffic route of Yen Bai province, running along the right bank of the Red River through Minh Tien, Y Can, Quy Mong communes (Tran Yen district) to Hoang Thang, Xuan Ai, Yen Hop, Tan Hop communes and Dong An commune (Van Yen district) is seriously deteriorating.
Every day, dozens of heavy trucks carry sand from the wharf in Y Can commune, Tran Yen district to other places for consumption.
Recently, these vehicles have also entered residential roads and inter-commune roads, greatly affecting traffic safety and people's daily travel.
