On September 8, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee issued a Plan on continuing to measure, make cadastral maps, complete dossiers and land databases in 2026, aiming to build a data system according to the criteria "right - sufficient - clean - living - unified - shared".
The key task is to standardize and synchronize data on about 3.9 million land plots throughout the province.
Of which, about 1.8 million plots need to be supplemented, standardized, and upgraded; 500,000 plots need to supplement attribute information, non-structured data or data synchronization; 1.6 million plots already have databases but need to be updated according to new criteria.
This work strives to be completed before December 31, 2026.
Lao Cai also accelerated surveying, mapping of cadastral maps, cadastral records and building databases in 27 communes, with the remaining survey volume being about 37.7%.
The province strives to complete measurements in November and complete cadastral records and databases before December 20, 2026.
For areas that do not have cadastral maps or maps that no longer ensure quality and accuracy, the province will review to make new measurements, supplementary measurements, adjustments and issue land use right certificates according to regulations.
Along with completing data, Lao Cai will strengthen connection and share land information with the national database on land, population and other databases; and connect with tax authorities to ensure full and timely updates on land changes.
People's Committees of communes and wards are responsible for coordinating to investigate, measure, declare, determine land plot boundaries, verify the current status and origin of land use; mobilize people to coordinate in completing information.
