Gia Loc Commune People's Committee coordinated with the Gia Loc Project Management Board to pay compensation for site clearance and resettlement support to 51 households in Hoi Xuyen 2 village in the National Highway 37 bypass project. The total amount paid to households this time is more than 8.7 billion VND.
The National Highway 37 bypass project passes through Gia Loc commune and Thach Khoi ward, with a total investment of 612.1 billion VND. The section passing through Hoi Xuyen 2 village has a total length of 5.42 km. The project started in August 2025 and is expected to be completed in December 2025. The project has a starting point connecting to National Highway 37 (about Km45+633) at the beginning of Thong Nhat Bridge; the end point connecting to the old Hai Duong City Ring Road I. The section through Gia Loc commune has an 18-meter roadbed. On the route, additional items such as intersections, drainage, trees, lighting, signal systems and related infrastructure have been built.
The project is built to reduce the load on National Highway 37, connecting the center of Gia Loc commune with the old Hai Duong City Ring Road I, provincial routes 393, Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway service road. Thereby, helping to complete regional transport infrastructure, expand urban development space, and create momentum for local socio-economic development.
Previously, to ensure the project implementation progress, the Chairman of the Hai Phong City People's Committee requested Gia Loc Commune to promptly develop a thematic resolution on solutions to promote site clearance, meeting the requirements for implementing works and projects in the area in the coming time. The investor directs the construction unit to mobilize maximum human resources, equipment, and materials to speed up construction, striving to open the road before Binh Ngo 2026.
