According to Lao Dong on December 14 and 15, most of the works within the scope of the investment project to build Ring Road 1 section Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc have been demolished.
Workers and machinery are rushing to demolish the remaining works so that contractors have a clean site to implement the project.

The project to build Ring Road 1, Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section, is more than 2.2 km long, with a cross-section of 50 m. The starting point intersects with Cat Linh - La Thanh - Yen Lang road at Hoang Cau, the end point is at Voi Phuc intersection.
On the route, 2 more direct overpasses will be built at the intersection of Lang Ha Street and Nguyen Chi Thanh Street.
The project has a total investment of more than 7,200 billion VND from the city budget. The project was approved in December 2017 and was expected to be completed in 2020 but was behind schedule. The reason is due to difficulties in site clearance.
In the past time, with the close direction of the City Party Committee and the drastic participation of the entire political system, the project's site clearance work has been basically completed.
The total reclaimed area reached 153,341m2, involving 1,983 households and organizations in the former Dong Da and Ba Dinh districts (now O Cho Dua, Giang Vo and Lang wards).

Mr. Truong Viet Dung - Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee - said that this is a result of great significance, because this entire area is considered one of the most complicated bottlenecks of the project. A milestone shows a strong change in implementation effectiveness since the implementation of the 2-level local government model from July 1.
"In just over 5 months, O Cho Dua, Giang Vo and Lang wards have completed compensation, support, resettlement, and land acquisition for 1,295 households, while 7 years before that, the districts had only resolved 686 households" - Mr. Truong Viet Dung informed.
According to the direction of Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc, after completing site clearance, the City Civil Works Construction Investment Project Management Board will immediately calculate the construction plan as soon as possible; during the construction process, it is necessary to minimize the impact on people's travel. The construction unit has to fence off as much as possible and focus on traffic regulation.

Mr. Nguyen Tan Nam An - Head of Project Management Department 1, Hanoi Civil Works Construction Investment Project Management Board - said that after receiving the site from the locality, the investor mobilized forces day and night to demolish the project, clean up the site to implement the construction of the Ring Road 1 project, Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section.
"We will direct contractors to simultaneously deploy the relocation of underground infrastructure; relocate and cut down trees; construct road items, build a direct overpass on the route, strive to complete the project in 2026 according to the direction of the Hanoi People's Committee" - Mr. Nguyen Tan Nam An said.

Previously, on December 4, the Hanoi People's Committee issued a Decision approving the adjustment of the implementation time of the investment project to build Ring Road 1 from Hoang Cau to Voi Phuc.
Accordingly, the project's implementation period was adjusted to the end of 2026. The reason for the adjustment is due to difficulties in site clearance, leading to the project not being completed according to the approved schedule.
