On March 27, the 27th session (special session) of the People's Council of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, term VII, 2021 - 2026, passed 17 important resolutions on socio-economic development in the area.
In particular, a resolution was passed on regulating the mechanism to support the implementation of investment projects to build social housing and housing for the People's Armed Forces in Ba Ria - Vung Tau.
According to the resolution, investment projects in the construction of social housing and housing for the People's Armed Forces in Clauses 2 and 4, Article 84; Clause 2, Article 107 of the Housing Law are eligible for support mechanisms if they are selected as investors after the resolution takes effect.
The project investor is supported with investment costs for the construction of technical infrastructure systems within the project scope of no more than 10 billion VND/project; including leveling, transportation systems, lighting, wastewater treatment, public sanitation, etc. Of which, the support level for projects in Con Dao is 80% of the cost; projects in Vung Tau City, Phu My, Ba Ria are supported with 50% of the cost; in the remaining districts, they are supported with 40% of the cost.
The provincial budget will support the project investor after the technical infrastructure system is accepted according to regulations; based on the settlement value of approved legal expenses.
At the same time, 100% of fees and charges will be supported when the project carries out administrative procedures at the competent authority to organize appraisal and licensing; 100% of fees for appraisal of Environmental Licenses under local authority; 100% of fees for appraisal of environmental impact assessment reports.
According to the Provincial People's Committee, it is expected that from 2027 to 2030, there will be 11 projects in the province that will be supported with infrastructure funding, with a total cost of about 71.6 billion VND.
In 2025, the locality will implement about 15 housing projects in the area, with a scale of 54.3 hectares, and 12,366 apartments. In the period up to 2030, continue to support and facilitate the implementation of housing projects within the 20% land fund of 7 commercial housing projects, with a scale of 9,886 units.
