Calling for investment in a 3,764-hectare Free Trade Zone; 1,200-hectare industrial park
On May 29, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province said that there are 24 projects across the province being called for investment in the 2025 Investment Conference on the topic "Selecting Ba Ria - Vung Tau", scheduled to be held on May 30.
Most notably is the Free Trade Zone project attached to the seaport, with a total area of about 3,764 hectares in Cai Mep Ha area, Phu My city. The project integrates production functions, trade and service development, foreign business... in fields that bring high added value in the global value chain.
Including 3 functional areas: Transportation hubs (shipping ports, inland waterway ports, railway stations) with 5 subdivisions, total area of over 1,735 hectares (some seaport projects, inland waterway ports have investors); Logistics and industrial warehouses with 2 subdivisions, total area of over 1,178 hectares; High-tech commercial service and industrial urban areas with a total area of nearly 851 hectares. This project is being called for in the form of investor selection.
The province also calls for investment in construction and business of technical infrastructure for the Bac Chau Duc 1 Industrial Park project, with a total area of 1,200 hectares in Chau Duc district, in the form of investor selection.
At the same time, calling for investment in two projects of Phu My Commercial, Service and Logistics Area No. 1 (450 ha) and Phu My No. 2 (420 ha) in Phu My City, in the form of auctioning land use rights - receiving land use rights transfer.
Investing in 3 tourism projects with golf courses
In addition to industrial projects, a series of tourism projects are also being called for investment by Ba Ria - Vung Tau, of which 3 tourism projects will have golf courses when implemented.
That is the Commercial, Tourism and Entertainment Service Center project with a total area of 98.56 hectares in Xuyen Moc district. This project will have an 18-hole golf course of about 60 hectares, along with service, entertainment and recreation works for tourism. The project is called for in the form of auctioning land use rights - receiving land use rights transfer.
And the project of a high-class commercial center, diverse services and golf course, with a total area of 150 hectares in Lang Dai commune, Long Dat district, was called for under the form of land use rights auction.
A project located in Con Dao district, is an 18-hole tourism, housing and golf course service complex, with a total area of about 255.5 hectares in the Co Ong area, aiming to develop a complex of modern service hotels and tourism; creating facilities to develop Con Dao into an international high-class tourism center. The project is called for in the form of selecting investors - receiving land use rights transfer.
According to the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, the above projects are implementing procedures to attract investment, expected to be implemented in the period of 2026-2030.
According to statistics in the first 5 months of 2025, Ba Ria - Vung Tau has newly granted and adjusted investment capital for 73 projects (including 37 FDI projects and 36 domestic projects), with a total registered investment capital after conversion of about 4 billion USD.
