Binh Duong Provincial Electronic Information Portal reported that Mr. Bui Minh Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just had a working program with Ms. 1:0 - Deputy Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City to continue implementing the drainage and wastewater treatment project in Di An, Thuan An, Tan Uyen areas, phase II.
This project will focus on upgrading and expanding the wastewater treatment system for areas with an area of about 8,703 hectares, serving a population of 335,091 people. Phase II has a total wastewater treatment capacity of 70,000 m3/day. The project implementation period is from 2026 to 2028, expected to be put into operation in 2029 and 2030. The total investment capital is about 65 million Euros (equivalent to about 1,900 billion VND).
Mr. Bui Minh Thanh - Vice Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee said that he will urgently complete related procedures so that when authorized by the Prime Minister, the Provincial People's Committee will sign a sponsorship agreement for the project.
Previously, the International Cooperation Agency - Kingdom of the Netherlands (now Invest International Agency) sponsored Binh Duong to build the Tan Hiep Clean Water Plant with a capacity of 30,000 m3/day and night in 2006.
In 2016, continue to sponsor 12 million Euros to invest in the construction of phase I of the wastewater collection and treatment system in the areas of Di An city, Thuan An, Tan Uyen with a designed capacity of 15,000 m3/day. The project was completed and put into use in 2019.
