Dong Hoa Ward People's Committee (HCMC) said that the locality is implementing compensation, support, and resettlement work to implement the Hanoi Highway expansion project phase 2, the section passing through the ward.
The section passing through Dong Hoa ward has nearly 150 organizations, households, and individuals subject to land acquisition.
Currently, the Dong Hoa Ward Compensation, Support and Resettlement Council has informed people of the plan of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to deploy compensation, support, and resettlement work for the Hanoi Highway expansion project according to each section of the route. In which, the section in Dong Hoa ward needs to complete site clearance compensation work no later than November 30, 2020.

To ensure the overall progress, in July 2026, the ward will deploy the restoration of landmarks, measurements, inventory, collection of dossiers and related documents to develop a draft plan for compensation, support and resettlement according to the provisions of the 2024 Land Law.
Currently, Dong Hoa ward has collected people's opinions on the policy of land recovery to implement the project. At the same time, mobilizing households to actively coordinate, provide dossiers, and create conditions for the project to be implemented on schedule.
It is known that the Hanoi Highway expansion project phase 2 has a total investment of about 3,500 billion VND. This project renovates and upgrades 5 key intersections on a road about 15.4 km long.
When completed, the project is expected to contribute to reducing traffic congestion, improving regional connectivity between Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring localities, creating motivation to promote socio-economic development of the eastern area of the City.
