On October 1, the Khanh Hoa Department of Construction reported on the North-South High-Speed Railway Project through the province with a total length of about 191.8km. The route passes through 25 communes and 4 wards, starting at Dai Lanh commune (adjacent to Dak Lak province), ending at Phuoc Ha commune (adjacent to Lam Dong province).
In the province, there will be 3 stations (2 passenger stations, 1 cargo station) and 4 maintenance stations located in Tu Bong, Cam An, Xuan Hai and Phuoc Ha communes.
According to preliminary calculations, the project affects 5,467 households and 36 organizations, of which 1,829 households need to be resettled. The province plans to arrange 31 resettlement areas, including 13 existing areas and 18 newly built and expanded areas with a total cost of more than 1,744 billion VND.
Implementation progress, from now until December 2026: construction of resettlement areas. March to December 2026: counting, making compensation, support, and resettlement plans.
June 2026 to June: implement compensation, support, and resettlement.
The provincial leaders requested relevant departments, branches and localities to urgently review the plan, separate the project into sub-projects for easy implementation, and unify the application of compensation and resettlement policies.
At the same time, the Department of Construction coordinated with project management boards to review the location and scale of resettlement areas, survey construction materials to include in the list of national key projects.
Units and localities are also required to increase propaganda on policies, compensation and support mechanisms to create high consensus in the process of site clearance.
