Prepare all tools
Before cleaning, prepare buckets of warm water, mild detergents, soft towels or sponge, wipers and floorcloths to avoid dirty water affecting the surrounding area.
Wipe off dust before cleaning
Use a dry cloth or wipe to remove dust, spider webs, and dirty particles from the wall. You should wipe from top to bottom to limit dust falling back.
Try first on a small area
Before cleaning the entire area, you should test the cleaning solution in a hidden corner to check its compatibility with the paint surface, avoiding fading or peeling.
Clean walls properly
Mix warm water with a small amount of mild detergent and then use a soft cloth to wipe each small area. Do not make the wall too wet to limit the impact on the paint and surface of the wall.
Treat stains
For scratches or colored pencils, you can use a mixture of baking soda mixed with water or a soft sponge to scrub gently. You need to operate carefully to avoid damaging the wall finishing layer.
Wipe again with clean water.
After cleaning, you should use a clean, damp cloth to wipe it again to remove soap residue and then use a dry cloth to wipe the entire surface to avoid moisture and mold.
Pinning if necessary
If you notice peeling or scratched walls after cleaning, you can repaint them to maintain the aesthetics of the living space.
