Golf has long been considered a high-cost sport, often only for those with a good income. Expenses such as sticks, personal equipment, or training ground fees can cost a large sum of money.
In particular, in localities without golf courses, practicing and playing golf becomes a big challenge for those who love this sport.
However, nature has favored giving Cao Bang a natural golf course that meets 18-hole standards, formed hundreds of years ago. That is Tinh Beach, in Thanh Long Commune, about 53km from Cao Bang City (more than 1 hour travel).
With an area of 100 hectares, Bai Tinh is like a miniature grassland, becoming an ideal location for local golfers.
For a long time, this place has not only been a place for people to graze cattle, an attractive tourist destination, but has also unintentionally created a 100% natural golf course, with nearly 18 challenging golf holes.
On weekends, many golf enthusiasts in Cao Bang still come here to play golf at almost zero costs...

Because Cao Bang is a mountainous province with many difficulties, plus golfing here does not cost, local people and tourists often call Bai Tinh "poor family golf course".
On August 13, recorded in Bai Tinh area (in Thanh Long commune) - about 50km from the center of Cao Bang) - showed that the landscape is still intact, the terrain is flat, surrounded by a series of steep rocky mountains.
A member of Cao Bang Golf Club shared: "Actually, we are not sure if Bai Tinh beach meets the 18-hole standards or not, but the scenery is beautiful, the grass is lush green and flat, so we decided to use it as a playground."
According to this person, each member of the Club will pay a small fee to hire local people to cut grass in the green area (the grass area is cut short around the golf hole) periodically. In the fairway area (the area where short and smooth grass is cut, located between the tee box and green areas), grass grows naturally thick enough to meet basic playing needs.
However, on August 8, the People's Council of Cao Bang province passed a resolution on the Bauxite Tang Mineral Mineral extraction and selection project.
Phase 1 of the project in Thanh Long commune plans to reclaim 400.62 hectares of land, including 1.46 hectares of rice land, 300.27 hectares of protective forest land, 3.25 hectares of production forest land and 95.64 hectares of other land.
This Bauxite ore project will overlap significantly in the Bai Tinh area - the current natural golf course of Cao Bang.

Informing reporters, Ms. Trieu Thi Hoa - Chairman of Thanh Long Commune People's Committee - expressed regret that in the coming time, Bai Tinh natural golf course will likely no longer be able to operate as before.
"Phase 1 of the project does not affect the inside of the yard, the mine soil is only close to the edge of Bai Tinh. However, traffic and mining activities will more or less make this place dusty, making it difficult to keep it clean like before" - Ms. Hoa shared.
Talking with reporters, some local people expressed their support for the project if it brought jobs and economic development, and at the same time hoped that the exploitation process would not affect their livelihoods.
The project is invested by Cao Giang Mineral Investment Company Limited.

Regarding the Tap Na Bauxite project, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Van Thach has directed the Department of Agriculture and Environment to review, adjust planning, and assess environmental impacts, ensuring that it does not affect agricultural land, transport infrastructure, landscape and especially people's lives, while implementing the project in accordance with the law and in accordance with local interests.
