Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh has just signed Decision No. 1142/QD-TTg to establish the Da Nang Free Trade Zone with a scale of about 1,881 hectares, including 7 locations of many functional areas arranged not adjacently in Lien Chieu and Hoa Vang districts.
Notably, information about the functional orientation and urbanization for each location introduced by the Management Board of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones - the unit assigned to manage Da Nang Free Trade Zone (FTZ) about this project is attracting the attention of many readers.
Location 1 (100 ha, Hoa Hiep Bac ward, Lien Chieu district): Orientation for development into a Logistics and Logistics Center to serve Lien Chieu Port.
Location 2 (77 ha, Hoa Hiep Bac ward, Lien Chieu district): Adjacent to Lien Chieu Industrial Park and Lang Van Tourism and Resort Complex. Orientation for development into a Logistics, Manufacturing and Supporting Industry Complex.
Location 3 (500 hectares, Hoa Hiep Bac ward, Lien Chieu district and Hoa Lien commune, Hoa Vang district): Orientation to develop into a complex of Logistics, Production and Trade of Ecological Services.
Location 4 (559 ha, Hoa Ninh commune, Hoa Vang district): Orientation for development into a Complex Ecosystem, Production and Logistics High-tech Support.
Location 5 (90 ha, Hoa Ninh commune, Hoa Vang district): Orientation for development into a high-quality Commercial - Service, resort and medical complex.
Location 7 (401 ha, Hoa Nhon and Hoa Phu communes, Hoa Vang district): Orientation for development into a Science - Technology and Innovation Complex.
It is expected that this will be a Science - Technology Complex, where research institutes, technology development centers, startups in the fields of digital economy and high technology will be concentrated.
