On June 5, Lao Dong news source confirmed that Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee had issued a decision on the recovery of land used by Sovico Khanh Hoa Company Limited in the East of Tran Phu Street (Nha Trang) according to the provisions of the 2024 Land Law.
The 6,207m2 land plot mentioned above belongs to a part of plot No. 11, map sheet No. 01 of Vinh Nguyen ward land map at the land plot east of Tran Phu street, Vinh Nguyen ward, Nha Trang city.
The reason for the revocation is that Sovico Khanh Hoa Company Limited voluntarily returned the land.
Khanh Hoa Land Registration Office is coordinating with relevant agencies to specifically determine the boundary markers of the recovered land in the field; edit cadastral records, update the national land database according to legal regulations.
More than 20 years ago, Khanh Hoa province leased more than 28,000m2 of Nha Trang coastal land to Sovico Khanh Hoa Company Limited to implement the Ana Mandara resort project to return the sea surface to serve the community.
In early 2024, Khanh Hoa reclaimed 20,000m2 of land leased to Sovico Khanh Hoa Company Limited. The entire resort has also been transferred by the investor to the Dai Beach area in Cam Lam district for new operations.
By mid-2024, Khanh Hoa province decided to adjust the land lease term until December 31, 2024 for the area of 8,023m2 that the locality leased to this enterprise to do business at Ana Mandara Resort in Decision No. 1488 of 2014 (adjusted in Decision No. 1942 of 2022).
Thus, after continuing to return 6,200m2 of land as mentioned above, Sovico Khanh Hoa Company Limited still has about 1,800m2 of land on the Nha Trang coastline.
Currently, on the Nha Trang beach land, there is still a restaurant and cafe of the owner of the old Ana Mandara tourist area that is continuing to operate.
A part of the old land of the Ana Mandara tourist area project has been renovated by Nha Trang City, building a temporary parking lot to serve people and tourists.
