Mr. Tran Song Tung - Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee has just signed Decision No. 740/QD-UBND, dated October 4, 2024 on changing the purpose of using 38.17 hectares of forest land to other purposes to implement the Investment Project of limestone mining works as raw materials for cement production for line 2 of Duyen Ha Cement Factory.
The area for changing the purpose of forest use to another purpose passes through lots 1, sub-areas 14374, 14375, 14377 of Tan Binh ward and lots 1, sub-areas 14371, 14375 of Yen Son commune (Tam Diep city, Ninh Binh).
At the same time, the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to guide forest owners to monitor forest developments and exploit timber in forest areas that have been decided to change forest use to other purposes.
The Department of Natural Resources and Environment shall base on the location and area of forest use conversion to other purposes in this decision to implement uniformly and synchronously with land allocation, land lease, land use conversion, and land recovery.
It is known that the conversion of the purpose of using 38.17 hectares of forest land to another purpose to implement the Investment Project of limestone mining as raw materials for cement production for line 2 of Duyen Ha Cement Factory is based on Document No. 136/TTg-NN dated February 19, 2024 of the Prime Minister on the policy of converting the purpose of using forest to implement the Investment Project of limestone mining as raw materials for cement production for line 2 of Duyen Ha Cement Factory.
Previously, on May 8, 2024, the People's Committee of Ninh Binh province also issued Decision No. 308/QD-UBND on approving the payment of replacement forest planting money to implement the Investment Project for the exploitation of limestone mines as raw materials for cement production for line 2 of Duyen Ha Cement Factory.
