On the afternoon of November 9, the South Central Mining Chemical Company carried out the steps of blasting a rock block lying precariously on Cu Hin Pass connecting Nha Trang - Cam Ranh Airport (Khanh Hoa).
For nearly a month, a rock weighing several tons has appeared on the cliff of Cu Hin Pass on Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, passing through Phuoc Dong Commune, Nha Trang City, causing vehicles to worry when moving and fear that it might roll down the road.
Following the direction of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Secretary on handling this rock mass, Nha Trang City People's Committee coordinated with the Department of Industry and Trade to complete legal procedures before allowing the use of explosives to prevent the risk of landslides, ensuring security and safety for the area.
On the same morning, the technical team of the South Central Mining Chemical Company surveyed the field and discovered that this part of the rock was deeply embedded in a large block of rock.
The engineer then decided to use drill and blast techniques with tightly controlled explosive charges.
After receiving orders from the authorities, the rock was blown up by a mine. Afterwards, construction units quickly organized to clear the rock and soil, ensuring safe traffic for vehicles on Cu Hin Pass.
