According to this report, as of September 14, 2024, the inspection agency discovered 3 cases with signs of corruption and negativity and transferred them to the police agency for investigation, with 6 related subjects, the total amount of violations was nearly 3 billion VND.
The first case occurred at the Ben Tre City Red Cross Society, a case with signs of corruption related to violations in the implementation of legal regulations on the settlement of state budget revenues and expenditures and other financial activities. The amount recovered/total amount of violations to be recovered is 65/168 million VND.
The second case occurred at the People's Committee of Binh Thanh Commune (Giong Trom District, Ben Tre Province), the case showed signs of corruption related to violations in the management of State budget revenue and expenditure and other revenues and expenditures. The total amount of violations that must be recovered is 1.832 billion VND, but has not been recovered yet.
The third case occurred at Thanh Phu District Medical Center. The case showed signs of corruption related to violations in compliance with legal regulations in managing revenue, expenditure, budget and other funds. The amount recovered/total amount of violations to be recovered was about 564/986 million VND.
The above 3 cases were discovered through socio-economic inspection activities.
In addition, the Inspectorate has deployed and conducted 41 inspections of the responsibility for implementing the law on preventing and combating corruption and negativity at 41 units. The results of the investigation revealed that 11 agencies, organizations and units including: Chu Van An Primary School (Ben Tre City), Binh Phu Commune People's Committee (Ben Tre City), Ward 7 People's Committee (Ben Tre City), Vang Quoi Dong Commune People's Committee (Binh Dai District), Vinh Binh Primary School (Cho Lach District), Giong Trom Town Kindergarten (Giong Trom District), Binh Thanh Commune People's Committee (Giong Trom District), Minh Duc Secondary School (Mo Cay Nam District), Thanh Thoi A Commune People's Committee (Mo Cay Nam District), Thanh Phu District Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, Thanh Phu District Medical Center had wasteful behavior, violated the practice of thrift and anti-waste. The total value of money and assets wasted and misused discovered through inspection, examination and supervision was 2,887 billion VND.
